How VCF's internationals got on this past week

A recap of the results for Valencia CF players on international duty

TUESDAY, MARCH 26TH

Spain played Malta away from home on Tuesday night, and José Luis Gayà featured in the entirety of the 0-2 win. The fullback was the only starter from VCF, but Rodrigo would replace goalscorer Álvaro Morata on 79 minutes. Dani Parejo was an unused substitute.

Kang In was on the bench for Korea Republic's 2-1 friendly triumph over Colombia in Seoul.

MONDAY, MARCH 25TH

Striking twice for Spain's Under-21s in their friendly against Austria was Carlos Soler, who continued to impress for 'La Rojita.' The VCF midfielder opened the scoring on 52 minutes, then just 9 minutes later hit a spectacular shot into the net for the second of his side's three goals.

“The second goal was for Tico, the physio, who had wrapped up my ankle and said that he'd put an extra wrap on as I was going to score. That's why I dedicated it to him, and I'm very happy," he said after the game.

Soler will now return to Valencia to prepare for the game against Sevilla FC
